Commissioned in 1993 after a chance meeting in Houston, this monumental work brings together historical figures from the United States and Mexico across 500 years. The painting was unveiled publicly, honored at Houston City Hall, and later shipped to Guadalajara. Turner presents the two histories as one intertwined legacy.
